A nationally prominent downtown Washington DC law firm is seeking a Help Desk Analyst for a contractual assignment that offers great long-term potential with its Information Technology Department. The Help Desk Analyst will be responsible for supporting law firm staff in a fast-paced Help Desk/Service Desk Environment. The Help Desk Analyst?s duties will include: 1) answering, evaluating, and prioritizing incoming technical requests for assistance from law firm users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies; 2) collecting information about incoming problems, performing analysis, isolation, and leading users through diagnostic procedures in determining the source of issues; 3) resolution and corrective action to restore functionality of user problems; 4) working with and referring more complex problems to technical supervisors and/or development staff; 5) recording, maintaining and updating historical documentation in law firm database systems; and 6) performing other duties as assigned.
Job Experience:
The Help Desk Analyst candidate will have an Associate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of IT/Help Desk experience; a BA/BS Degree, Certified Help Desk Professional, MCP, MCSE, A+, or a related Certificate is preferred. The Help Desk Analyst candidate must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and have a willingness to learn new tools and technologies (i.e. FileSite, CMS, Adobe, etc). The ideal Help Desk Analyst candidate will have: 1) knowledge and understanding of customer service techniques; 2) have a strong telephone presence; 3) excellent communication skills; 4) a proven track record of good decision-making; and 5) strong troubleshooting abilities.
